CHATHAM FOOD PANTRY - Lower Cape Outreach

The Monomoy Shootout anglers and tournament officials teamed up to support the Lower Cape Outreach and the Chatham Food Pantry.  This has been the second year the two organizations have worked together.  The second annual Monomoy Shootout provided over 150 pounds of fresh Striped Bass fillets to the pantry with the help of Chatham Pier Fish Market.  The fish marked donated time and resources in order to process the donated fish from the tournament.  This food will stay local and be donated to families in need.  We would all like to thank the participants who donated fish as well as the Chatham Pier Fish Market for processing the fish.

A cash donation to the Chatham food pantry was also made by Stage Harbor Yacht Club.  We would like to thank SHYC for their efforts with the tournament and within the community!

                    THE CAPE COD CHILDREN'S PLACE

Cape Cod Children's Place is a non-profit resource, referral, and education center committed to providing high-quality care, support, and advocacy for families with young children in order to sustain a healthy community for Cape Cod's future.

Located at 10 Ballwic Avenue, in North Eastham, Cape Cod Children's Place has been in operation since 1995 serving as the hub of services and up-to-date information and referral for over 500 local families annually. All  of our programs and services are created in response to expressed needs of families, to fill service gaps in the Lower and Outer Cape communities of Brewster, Chatham, Eastham, Harwich, Orleans, Provincetown, Truro and Wellfleet. Cape Cod Children's Place offers year-round Massachusetts-licensed childcare for ages 1 month-5 years at its center in Eastham; and for ages 1 month-3 years at its Sea-Babies program, located at the Wellfleet Council on Aging and sponsored in part by Seamen's Bank.

Through the participation of the Shootout anglers in the Bluefish/Bass Calcutta and with the T-shirt sales at the White Marlie, the Shootout committee was able to make a donation to this wonderful, community building organization.
